Jessica Mitolo
Clinical Psychologist
Jessica Mitolo is the founder of Adapted Mind Psychology and is a Registered Psychologist with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. She graduated with First Class Honours in Psychology and was awarded the Australian Psychological Society (APS) Prize in 2014—an accolade recognising academic excellence and granted to the student who gains first place at the end of their psychology degree.
Jessica is currently undertaking Advanced Accreditation in Schema Therapy through Schema Therapy Training Australia. Her research interests include the diagnosis and classification of eating disorders, and in 2015, she was invited to present her research at the Australian Psychological Society’s Annual Conference.
With a strong foundation in both assessment and therapeutic work, Jessica is particularly passionate about comprehensive psychological assessments and the importance of accurate, evidence-based diagnosis. She has a deep interest in supporting neurodivergent individuals, including those with Autism and ADHD, and is committed to helping clients better understand themselves in order to access the right supports and thrive in their daily lives.

Jessica brings a breadth of experience from her work across government, community, and inpatient settings. Her clinical roles have included supporting clients in community mental health services in South Australia as a Community Rehabilitation Support Worker, and later, as a psychologist in the Rural and Remote Inpatient Unit at Glenside Hospital.
She has extensive experience working with a wide range of mental health presentations, including anxiety, depression, insomnia, and other sleep-related disorders, substance use, specific phobias, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, complex trauma, schizophrenia and psychosis, personality disorders, eating disorders, and neurodivergence.
Jessica has worked with both children and adults from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. She takes a strengths-based, recovery-oriented approach to therapy, with empowerment at the heart of her work.
